IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Annunciation Catholic Church/Parish Closed

Based on the recommendations from health officials concerning the danger of the COVID-19 pandemic and the urgency to stem the spread of the virus, the five Catholic bishops of Indiana have suspended effective March 18 and until further notice all public Sunday and weekday Masses throughout the Province of Indianapolis, which is comprised of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Dioceses of Gary, Evansville, Fort Wayne-South Bend, and Lafayette.

Therefore in keeping with the directive from Archbishop Thompson, Annunciation Catholic Church will be closed indefinitely until further notice. All public Masses are suspended as well as any parish activities. More information can be viewed here which is the statement from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis by Archbishop Thompson.

Fr. Hollowell's Status

Father John Hollowell, pastor of Annunciation in Brazil and St Paul’s in Greencastle will be away from his parishes until May 18th receiving surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy for a brain tumor. The prognosis is very good.

Until May 18th, there will be no daily Masses nor confessions at either parish. The weekend Mass and confession schedule remain unchanged as guest priests have committed to covering the ten weekends Father Hollowell will be away.
